Fluvanna County Phased Reopening to the Public

As Governor Northam has begun the process to put the “Forward Virginia” Plan in motion, Fluvanna County begins the process with a phased reopening, Monday, June 15, 2020.

While reopening plans have been developed to take into account the safety of staff and the public, residents and others who have business with the County are encouraged to conduct their business online and by telephone where able. Department and office operations will vary, but standard general protocols and guidelines will be applied to all County departments, offices, and facilities.

PHASE 1: Monday, June 15, 2020 - County facilities remain closed to the public, with the exception the Sheriff’s Office, the Courthouse, and the Registrar’s Office. Employees will begin the process of returning to worksites, with modified teleworking still be available to staff.

PHASE 2: Monday, June 22, 2020 - The Commissioner of the Revenue and Treasurer’s building opens to the public for walk-in services, with restrictions on the number of customers allowed in each office at a time. All other County buildings are open by appointment only, except those buildings already open to the public, aslisted in Phase 1 above.

PHASE 3: Monday, July 6, 2020 - Modified Parks and Recreation programming and small-group summer camps begin. Outdoor facility rentals will be available. More specific details to come.

PHASE 4: Date and final guidelines TBD - County Buildings open to the public.
The health and safety of staff and residents remains our top priority and the following measures are in place:

  • Shared conference rooms will be cleaned after each use.
  • Touchless hand sanitizer stations will be located at facility entrances.

 MODIFICATIONS TO PUBLIC INTERACTION POINTS
