Employee Appreciation & Recognition Program - IMPACT

The Fluvanna County Employee Appreciation and Recognition Program (IMPACT in Public Service) provides opportunities for citizens, employees, and supervisors to recognize staff, subordinates, supervisors, peers, and co-workers for individual and team achievements in areas such as customer service, suggestions, committee memberships/roles or activism, special skills, task forces, projects, superior performance, and heroism.

IMPACT Recognitions are: Unsolicited, special acknowledgments of a County employee or employee group that made a special effort, did an outstanding job, displayed high-quality workmanship on a project, demonstrated a caring and sensitive attitude, or other good deeds or service. IMPACT Recognitions are intended to acknowledge exemplary performance or behavior.

Policy 2.26. Employee Appreciation and Recognition Program

On April 3, 2024, the Board of Supervisors approved the following Fluvanna County Employee's Impact Statement:

The mission of Fluvanna County is to provide an excellent quality of life for its citizens and businesses by delivering competitive public services and programs efficiently and effectively.

As employees of Fluvanna County, we will act with integrity in all relationships by dedicating our efforts toward earning the respect, trust, and confidence of all we serve -- citizens, elected and appointed officials, and county staff.

We will perform our work with an IMPACT:

Integrity- Strong moral and ethical principles while maintaining a sense of honor and sincerity in all dealings with Citizens and Employees. 

Motivation- Pursue and accomplish tasks, overcome obstacles, and strive for personal and professional growth. 

Passion- Investing time, energy, and dedication into your beliefs leads to fulfillment and achievement.

Accountability- Willingness to accept responsibility positively, demonstrate integrity, honesty, and willingness to learn and improve.

Caring- Being attentive to individuals’ needs, feelings, and well-being. Nurturing environments and also a sense of community.

Teamwork -Mutual respect, communication, and cooperation with a common goal to complete a task effectively and efficiently.
