#4114- Athletics & Special Events Coordinator

The County of Fluvanna, VA is recruiting for a full-time Athletics and Special Events Coordinator to lead and implement athletic programs, classes, seasonal camps, and special events for the community.

Primary Duties include:

Administering youth and adult sports programs; Training, supervising, and scheduling part-time staff for sports programs and events; Planning County events, festivals, and fairs; Designing and developing marketing and promotion materials for all programs administered. Eligible candidates must possess a valid Virginia driver’s license and maintain a satisfactory driving record during employment. The selected candidate must pass a criminal background check.

The ideal candidate will have: several years of progressively responsible experience in athletic programming and events planning and implementation, and a Bachelor’s degree in recreation or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Current CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Work schedule varies with programs and events. Applicant must be willing to work some evenings and weekends

Hourly Rate is $ 17.62 to $20.26  depending upon qualifications.
