#6060-Part-time Deputy Sheriff - Fluvanna County Sheriff's Office

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a part-time Deputy Sheriff position. This is a sworn position that may work in courts, patrol, or administrative support as needed. Work hours will be day shift, approximately 20-29 hours per week.  Occasional evenings or weekends may be required.  

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, and be 21 years of age.
• Complete a thorough background investigation.
• Successfully complete a physical and psychological examination.
• Must become DCJS trained and certified within one (1) year
• Candidates must possess a current valid operator’s license.  

Compensation:

A sign-on Bonus is offered for Part-time Deputy Sheriff positions.

Salary is dependent upon experience, education, and certifications.  

 $25.70 to $29.56 per hour for LEO-certified candidates, depending upon other qualifications.

The position is eligible for vacation and sick leave accruals.

Not eligible for VRS retirement or Health Benefits.
