Deputy Sheriff - 6511 - Fluvanna Sheriff's Office

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a Deputy Sheriff to initially work in the Courts system. Must be willing to be trained and work in both Courts and Patrol.  Shift work is required.

Must have a high school diploma or equivalency, be 21 years of age, complete a thorough background investigation and successfully complete a physical examination. Must be become DCJS trained and certified within one (1) year.

Candidates must possess a current valid operator’s license.  DCJS certified individuals are encouraged to apply with a $3,000 sign on bonus.  Salary is negotiable dependent upon experience, education and certifications.   Starting annual salary for non-certified law enforcement officer is $36,123 ($16.54/hr.) and starting for certified law enforcement officer is $37,929 (17.37/hr.).
