Deputy Treasurer I/II - #1411/#1420

The County of Fluvanna, VA is seeking a full-time Deputy Treasurer I/II to support the County’s financial and strategic operations.

Duties include: Receives and processes payment for personal property and real estate taxes, utility bills, and other County assessments; researches and administers processes for delinquent payments; assists with real estate and personal property tax billing; responsible for revenue posting in the enterprise management system; performs office and clerical work as necessary.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, in addition to familiarity with accounting, financial transactions and reporting. The full job description for Deputy Treasurer I is attached below.

Education and Experience

Deputy Treasurer I

*High school graduation or equivalent;

*Six (6) months of experience in customer service. Prior experience in local government or a financial institution preferred.

Deputy Treasurer II

*High school graduation or equivalent; Undergraduate certificate in Administrative Support, Accounting, or other related certificate preferred.

*Three (3) years of work experience in a treasurer’s office, business office, or financial institution.

Salary range: Deputy Treasurer 1-$14.02 to $15.59 hr; Deputy Treasurer II-$15.60 to $17.94 hr plus benefits, DOQ.
