Threat to Burn/Bomb – Fluvanna County High School

On September 27, 2023, the Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office received information from the administration at the Fluvanna County High School of a bomb threat that had been posted to/observed on social media. In this instance and in the interest of safety, school administration began the process of dismissing students. Multiple deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to assist in the dismissal process.

The investigation will continue into the nature of the threat and the Sheriff’s Office staff are continuing to work with school officials to safely return the facilities to normal operation.
