Media Advisory: Fluvanna Celebrates National Night Out
Fluvanna County Celebrates National Night Out
WHO: The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office and the Fluvanna Triad
WHAT: Fluvanna County will join 38.3 million people in over 16K communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide in commemorating National Night Out.
WHEN: Tuesday, August 2, 2016, 5:00PM – 8:00PM
WHERE: Jefferson Centre (Park and Ride), 265 Turkey Sag Trail, Palmyra, VA 22963
WHY: National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live.
DETAILS: Fluvanna’s National Night Out event will include safety demonstrations, exhibits, emergency personnel, and a bicycle rodeo. This year’s event will also feature “Downin’ Donuts with Deputies” where individuals will compete with law enforcement officials in a single, 3-minute round donut eating competition.
