Over 20 miles of trails run through these habitats, which contain a diverse population of wildflowers, animals and birds. The river habitat is host to river otters, eagles and ducks, and in the untended grassy fields you will see many songbirds, hawks, and rabbits. Walk the tree identification trail and learn the names of the many native Virginia trees.

Tufton Pond, located inside the Lake Monticello Community, has a fishing pier along with shoreline to fish from. Call ahead because Lake Monticello is a private, gated community.

The Fluvanna Farm Heritage Museum equipment and displays demonstrate the legacy of Fluvanna’s agricultural history, highlighting collections of antique farm equipment and more.
