Piedmont Virginia Community College Board (PVCC)

The Piedmont Virginia Community College Board is an advisory body, serving as a connection between the College and the communities it serves. The PVCC Board is made up of representatives appointed by the governing boards of the jurisdictions in the College's service region.

Library Board of Trustees

Purpose: Acts as a governing board for the Fluvanna County Library. Employ a competent and qualified library director. Determine the mission and goals and objectives of the library, and adopt written policies governing the library. Ensure that the Library has a long-range planning process that considers the library’s strengths and weaknesses, and can be implemented and evaluated. Be familiar with local, state, and federal library laws; actively support pending library legislation. Establish, support and participate in a planned public relations program.

JAUNT Board

JAUNT, Inc. is a regional public transportation system providing service to the citizens of Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson, Buckingham, and Greene Counties, as well as Charlottesville. Organized in 1975, JAUNT is recognized statewide and nationally for the high quality of its efficient service and driver training.

Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission (TJPDC)

The Thomas Jefferson Planning District Commission is directed by a twelve-member board, consisting of two representatives appointed by each local governing board, more than half of whom are local elected officials. The Commissioners have varied backgrounds and currently serve on various boards and committees in the region. Meeting monthly, they provide direction and oversight for TJPDC activities.
