The Rivanna River Basin Commission (the Commission) shall be established as an independent local entity without political subdivision status, and shall be established upon the passage of a resolution by three-fourths of the Rivanna River Basin's localities, in which not less than three percent of the jurisdiction is found wholly or partially within the Rivanna River Basin, that commits them to participation in the Commission as described in this chapter.

The Children’s Services Act was created to ensure that at-risk youth and their families have access to as much support needed to transform successfully and have better futures.  The Family and Assessment Planning Team (FAPT) is one of two teams in Fluvanna County that is responsible for the operation of the CSA in Fluvanna County.

Purpose:  Required by Virginia State Code and the 2009 Central Virginia Regional Jail Agreement, approved November 19, 2008, the County (along with the counties of Orange, Greene, Madison, and Louisa)
