Inclement Weather Court Closing

The Circuit Court renders an essential service to the public; therefore, it is rare that the Court closes due to inclement weather.  In addition, state law provides that the Circuit Court Clerk's Office may be closed only upon order of the Court.

Location  - The Circuit Court Clerk's Office is on the main floor of the Fluvanna County Courts Building at 72 Main Street, Palmyra, Virginia 22963.  The Courts Building is located off of James Madison Highway (Route 15) in the Village of Palmyra near the Rivanna River.  The Courthouse is a large brick building with white columns.

Payment Types Accepted

Payment may be made by cash, check or money order (payable to the Fluvanna Circuit Court Clerk).  Visa, MasterCard, Discover payments are also accepted*.

*In accordance with § 17.1-275(A)(27) of the Code of Virginia, a $2.00 convenience fee will be assessed on all credit card payments of $50 & under.  A 4% convenience fee will be assessed on all credit card payments over $50 in accordance with Code of Virginia.

About the Circuit Court Clerk

The Circuit Court Clerk is charged with more than 800 statutory responsibilities.  Such responsibilities extend well beyond judicial-related business to non-judicial and fiscal activities.

FUSD Water Committee Meeting

There is a water committee meeting every other month (odd months).  We discuss the improvements and adjustments that are necessary for a smooth running operation.

If there are any concerns from the public, we will discuss these issues then.
