Location  - The Circuit Court Clerk's Office is on the main floor of the Fluvanna County Courts Building at 72 Main Street, Palmyra, Virginia 22963.  The Courts Building is located off of James Madison Highway (Route 15) in the Village of Palmyra near the Rivanna River.  The Courthouse is a large brick building with white columns.

Clerk's Office personnel strive to provide the most efficient and effective service to all customers.  Although staff members are always willing to provide assistance, they are prohibited by law from providing legal advice, interpreting the law, or recommending legal action.  It is not the intention of the Clerk's Office, or of this web site, to offer legal solutions.  Questions regarding legal procedure or interpretation of the law should be directed to an attorney licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Payment Types Accepted

Payment may be made by cash, check or money order (payable to the Fluvanna Circuit Court Clerk).  Visa, MasterCard, Discover payments are also accepted*.

*In accordance with § 17.1-275(A)(27) of the Code of Virginia, a $2.00 convenience fee will be assessed on all credit card payments of $50 & under.  A 4% convenience fee will be assessed on all credit card payments over $50 in accordance with Code of Virginia.

Passport applications are available at the Clerk’s Office or by visiting U.S. Department of State.

Passport applications are accepted Monday - Wednesday, 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.  No appointment required!

 

*THIS OFFICE DOES NOT TAKE PASSPORT PHOTOS*

 

We do not execute Adult Renewal Applications - this is done by mail using the form DS-82.
