Full time (40 HR/WK) EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER:

The Communications Officers provide a vital service to the Fluvanna County community by contributing to the safety and welfare of their fellow team members and citizens. They are the first point of contact in most emergency situations. The County offers extensive training and opportunities for career development in law enforcement.

 

 

Full time AND Part time (20 HR/WK) DEPUTY SHERIFFS:

Unlike larger agencies, officers and deputies in Fluvanna County get a chance to investigate some of their own cases and follow them from the initial report to the courtroom. The County offers opportunities for training and certifications; Patrol, Court Services, Civil Process, Criminal Investigations, bicycle and motorcycle patrol. Deputies also get opportunities for increased community involvement and have time to develop community relationships.

Emergency Communications Officer

The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for Emergency Communications Officer. Full time and Part time positions are available. #7300- HVAC Specialist

The County is recruiting for an HVAC Specialist. This is a full-time position that performs intermediate skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of water & sewer treatment plants, pump stations and piping systems, and related equipment and appurtenances; does related work as required.  Work is performed under minimal supervision.

County Attorney

The County of Fluvanna, VA has an opening for a full-time Attorney. 

The Fluvanna County Attorney serves as the Chief Legal Officer and Counsel to the County of Fluvanna as provided in Virginia Code Sec. 15.2-1542. The Fluvanna County Attorney reports directly to and is responsible to, the Fluvanna County Board of Supervisors.  The County Attorney serves at the pleasure of the Board of Supervisors and receives general supervision from the Board, and day-to-day guidance and direction from the County Administrator.
