Erroneous information in WTRV 6 story on Travis Dooley arrest

The purpose of this release is to correct erroneous information reported by WTVR 6, a Richmond Virginia media outlet, on January 12, 2018 in regards to the arrest of Travis Scott Dooley on January 7, 2018. WTVR 6 ran a story titled “Richmond officer allowed to drive home after felony eluding charge” in which they report “they wrote him a summons for misdemeanor reckless driving and felony eluding police”. This information is not correct.

Fluvanna County Offices DELAYED OPENING Wednesday, January 8, 2025

With the freezing temperatures overnight, wet surfaces refreezing, and slippery road conditions,

Fluvanna County Offices will be open at 10:30am, January 8, 2025.

Updates regarding County operations will be provided as necessary.

County Offices/Departments Holiday Closings

All County Offices will be closing at noon on December 22, 2017 and will remain closed until 8:00am, December 27, 2017.

All County Offices will be closed January 1 & 2, 2018.

The Convenience Center will be closed from 12/22 to 12/27/2017. It will reopen 12/28/2017 from 8am -7pm. It will be closed on 1/2/2018.

RT. 623 BRIDGE TO CLOSE NOV. 13 FOR REPLACEMENT

Use alternate routes during three-month closure

CULPEPER — Starting Nov. 13, the Virginia Department of Transportation will close the Route 623 (Perkins Road) bridge over Venable Creek in Fluvanna County for replacement of its superstructure.

The bridge, which was built in 1951 and is located 0.4 mile east of Route 659 (Kent Store Way), will be closed for three months while crews replace the existing timber deck and steel beams with a concrete slab. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes.
