Controlled Burn Wednesday, March 30, 2022 - Pleasant Grove Park Closed

Pleasant Grove Park will be closed Wednesday, March 30, in order to allow the Virginia Department of Forestry to conduct a controlled burn in parts of the park. 

The park and all trails will be closed for the day;  only the Dog Park play yards will remain open.

Controlled Burn Timeline: 

  • Site prep began March 2, 2022 - Bulldozing fire lines
  • Burn date is weather dependent
  • Meadow C (running along Thomas Jefferson Pkwy) will be burned
  • Meadows B & C were burned in 2021. 
  • Controled burn will be performed by the Virginia Department of Forestry.
