Master Naturalist Activities
September 8, 2018
- Meet at the Nature Room at Pleasant Grove House Summer Kitchen to visit some of the many Bluebird houses at Pleasant Grove with a Bluebird monitor. Learn how to encourage Bluebirds on your property.
October 13, 2018
- Meet at the Equestrian parking for a discussion and guided hike about the effect of Fall on animals and their habitats. Go on a hike with a Master Naturalist along the Heritage and Cross Hill trails to observe how the change in seasons affect the natural environment.
November 10, 2018
- Met at the upper picnic shelter at the Dog Park for a guided hike with a Master Naturalist along the ADA friendly Sandy Beach Trail. We'll be looking for "Ghost Trees", "Alien Species", "Invaders", and other "unnatural" nature sights.
December No Hike!
January 12, 2019
- Meet at the soccer field parking lot for a guided hike with a Master Naturalist. We'll hike along portions of the Brush Arbor, Rock Brook and Quail Meadow trails to observe how the winter season has changed these wildlife habitats. We'll be watching to see how the plants have changed and how the animals that depend on them adapt.
