Announcement of Community Meeting

Perkins & Orrison Inc. and Glass Associates, on behalf of Clovelly LLC, will hold a virtual community meeting hosted by Perkins & Orrison and Fluvanna County to share comments and answer questions regarding a request to rezone two parcels on Edgecomb Road from B-1 to I-1 zoning, to permit the construction and operation of a warehouse/distribution facility.

The parcels are Tax Map Numbers 5-17-1 and IA in Fluvanna County, located in the northeast quadrant of Rte. 250 and Edgecomb Road.

The Sheriff's Office will be holding a drug take back event this Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10:00 am to 1:45 pm at the Jefferson Pharmacy near Food Lion.

We will be taking all old and unwanted prescription medications. NO NEEDLES PLEASE!

Let's get them properly disposed of so they don't end up in the wrong places.

FEMA provides financial assistance under the Other Needs Assistance (ONA) provision of the Individuals and Households Program (IHP) to individuals and households with disaster-related funeral expenses.

VDOT TO REHABILITATE TWO BRIDGES ON BREMO ROAD

Road closed to through traffic near Bremo Bluff Road from April 5 until July 5 

CULPEPER — The Virginia Department of Transportation will rehabilitate two bridges on Route 656 (Bremo Road) in Fluvanna County. 

Beginning April 5, Route 656 will be closed to through traffic. Weather permitting, the road will reopen on July 5 when work on both bridges is complete. 

UPDATE: No burning today. Park and all trails will be open March 20, 2021.

     Fluvanna County will soon begin the next phase of meadow management and restoration at Pleasant Grove Park by conducting a series of prescribed controlled burns. The burns are planned for late February and will take place in two wildlife meadows, as indicated by the yellow encircled areas in the image below.As part of the County’s long-term meadow maintenance plan, controlled burns will allow us to retain these areas as valuable, and rare, wildlife habitat, as well as arrest the natural progression of these meadows into forest.
